Atlantic County Fire Academy Graduation

Updated: Mar 30, 2020

I was honored to be invited and attend the graduation of the Summer and Fall 2019 Atlantic County Firefighters' Training classes on Monday (1/27/2020). The work is grueling, the training difficult, and the job is dangerous. The graduates, who come to Atlantic County for their training from all around southern New Jersey, are a reflection of our community. Although most were young men, there were three young women in the classes, and I sat next to a woman from Williamstown whose husband decided to enroll in the program while she was away at a nurses' conference. He's 55 years old!

All in all, it was the kind of event that makes serving as Freeholder a rewarding experience.

Thank you to the graduates and their trainers, and all the first responders in Atlantic County and southern New Jersey

We all do sleep better knowing you're on the job.
